What MTG does, and how a transaction begins.
Direct answers on scope, clients, transaction types and regulatory role.
Answers
The firm in plain terms.
What does Meridian Transaction Group do?
Meridian Transaction Group is an independent private-capital and strategic-transactions firm. It originates opportunities, structures transaction solutions, assembles independent capital and execution professionals, and coordinates complex transactions from concept through closing. MTG performs sponsor-side deal origination, transaction structuring, administration, capital coordination and execution management.
Who does MTG work with?
MTG works with real estate sponsors and developers, landowners, business owners, issuers, family offices, institutional capital providers, lenders and strategic transaction counterparties.
What types of transactions does MTG coordinate?
Acquisitions, ground-up development, refinancings, recapitalizations, real estate joint ventures, private note and structured issuance programmes, cross-border transaction structures and special situations.
Does MTG provide debt and equity solutions?
MTG coordinates debt and equity solutions on the sponsor side. It develops the capital stack, defines the financing strategy and coordinates independent lenders, private-credit providers and equity partners. The capital itself is provided by independent third parties under separate engagement, diligence and applicable law.
Does MTG participate in real estate joint ventures?
Yes. Through MTG Strategic Transactions and MTG Principal Ventures, MTG structures and coordinates real estate joint ventures between landowners, sponsors, developers and capital partners, and may participate as co-sponsor or co-general partner where the transaction warrants it.
What are structured-capital solutions?
Structured-capital solutions are purpose-built transaction frameworks: SPV and SPC structures, ownership and control frameworks, issuance and note programme infrastructure, agency and administration arrangements, and cross-border transaction infrastructure designed so that institutional capital can participate.
Does MTG provide investment advice or securities placement?
No. Meridian Transaction Group is not a registered investment adviser, broker-dealer, securities placement agent, bank, lender, custodian, law firm or tax adviser. Investment advice, securities placement, legal, tax, fiduciary and custody services are performed under separate engagements by appropriately qualified and, where required, licensed independent counterparties.
How can a sponsor submit a transaction?
Sponsors submit a transaction through the inquiry form on the Contact page, describing the transaction type, asset class, stage, capital requirement and timing. Submitting information through the website does not create an advisory, fiduciary, brokerage, partnership, agency or confidential relationship.
